總決賽第2場，柯瑞（Stephen Curry）表現低迷，前傳奇巨星、電視解說員巴克利（Charles Barkley）表示，柯瑞只是還不適應德拉維多瓦（Matthew Dellavedova）的防守，他會在第3戰找出解決的辦法。
第2場，德拉維多瓦頂替厄文（Kyrie Irving）先發上場，在他的防守下，柯瑞出賽42分鐘，23投5中、其中三分球15投2中，只得19分6籃板5助攻6失誤。
柯瑞面對德拉維多瓦防守時，無一命中的8次投籃，有4次是被干擾，另外4次出現空位，因自己完全失準沒能命中。
德拉維多瓦成功鎖死柯瑞，美國大部分媒體讚揚他的防守功力，可是巴克利認為不用為柯瑞擔心，「人們給了德拉維多瓦過多的讚揚，相信我，柯瑞會搞定馬修的，他只是昨晚沒有命中更多的投籃。」
很有可能，勇士在第3戰中會大幅增加圍繞柯瑞的掩護配合，或者是減少柯瑞在陣地戰中與德拉維多瓦進行一對一攻擊。
